Suno (Shenzhen) has ventured into the media streamer market with the launch of the Syabas Networked Media Tank Sigma 8365 chipset based SN-HD101. This NMT has a VFD screen and comes with a black remote. USB slave port is behind the box so as to retain a nice clean look in front. Like Egreat’s newer NMTs, users can power off the unit via remote.

Installation of harddisk is via the side panel. It uses drawer concept. This means that users do not need to meddle with screws when installing the harddisk. It is a snap-and-go affair. Cooling of the Sigma 8635 is by a silent fan.

Playback is expected to be on par with the rest of the NMTs. Audio and video out are via component, analogue audio and video, S-Video, HDMI 1.3, optical digital out.

Suno is also developing another NMT based player with DVD-ROM option as well as DVB-T capability. Currently it is still under development and we are not sure if it will hit the shelves. Anway, here’s a teaser photo.
