    Western Digital joined the high definition media players with their WD TV HD Player (WDAVN00). This is a simple media player using the Sigma 8635 chipset but running WD’s own software and not the famed Syabas Networked Media Tank middleware. It does not accomodate any harddisk but rely on USB devices plugged in for media playback.
